Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• The Rajasthan School Education Department is inviting online applications for "Gargi Puraskar Yojana".
• Students fulfilling the eligibility conditions can apply for the scheme online and offline.
• Rajasthan Sarkar has initiated many student welfare schemes for the girl child.
• With an aim to empower girl students, the scheme was started in the year 1998.
• Under the scheme, the state government is providing an annual incentive of Rs 3,000/ for two subsequent years i.e. in class 11 and 12.
• Students will receive the incentive amount subject to their satisfactory performance in class 10th and class 11th.
• This scheme is also known by other names such as "Gargi Puraskar Scheme".
• The primary objective of this scheme is to encourage girl children to pursue their higher education.
• To receive incentive, girl students must have secured at least 75% marks in class 10th examination and complets its enrollment in class 11.
• Along with the incentive, a certificate will also be given as a reward to each eligible student.
• Under this scheme, girl students studying in class 10 at Swami Vivekanand Government Model School and obtaining an 8 CGPA out of 10 will be eligible to apply.
• Every year, on the occasion of Basant Panchami, the Director of Secondary Education Rajasthan will provide incentives to all beneficiaries.
• The incentive amount will be directly credited to the beneficiary's bank account through the DBT mode.
• Students avail the incentive in the class 11 need to register again for the benefit of second installment.
• Beneficiaries can apply for the Rajasthan Gargi Puraskar Yojana through both online and offline modes.
• Online Applications for Gargi Puraskar Yojana can be submitted through Rajasthan Secondary Education Department Portal.
• Applicants must submit the Gargi Puraskar Yojana Application form before its deadline.
• Gargi Puraskar Yojana Application Last date for 2024-25 is December 31, 2024 for both first and second installment.

Scheme Benefits

• Rajasthan government provides the following benefits to the eligible candidate under the Rajasthan Gargi Puraskar Yojana : -
  • Selected students who are studying in 11th and 12th class will receive an annual incentive of Rs. 3,000/-.
  • This assistance amount will be provided to selected girls for two years i.e. class 11 and class 12.

Eligibility Requirements

• Those beneficiaries who meet all the following conditions are eligible to apply for the Gargi Puraskar Yojana:-
  • Girl Students of the State.
  • Student must have secured at least 75 percent marks in class 10.
  • Student should be studying in class 11 and 12.

Steps to Apply

• Applicant can apply for the Gargi Puraskar Yojana' through the following ways:-

  • Offline through Offline Application Form.

Online Application Process

• Visit the official website of Rajasthan Shala Darpan.
• Click on the "Balika Siksha Protsahan" link from the home page.
• After that, scheme-related information and the application form will be displayed on the screen.
• Students who are studying in 11th class will select the "First Installment" link, whereas those who are studying in 12th class will select the "Second Installment" link.
  
• After selection, the applicant needs to fill in all the details.
  
• After submission of the application form, the applicant will receive an application number.
• Using this application number, the applicant can easily know their application status.
• Applicants must submit the Gargi Puraskar Yojana application form before its last date.
• The last date to submit Gargi Puraskar Yojana first installment and second installment application form is December 31, 2024.
• Portal will not allow applicants to submit scheme application beyond this date.

Offline Application Process

• Beneficiaries can also apply for Gargi Puraskar scheme offline.
• Visit the district office of the Secondary Education Department to collect an offline application form.
• Fill out all the details correctly on the form.
• Attach all the relevant documents.
• Recheck all the details.
• Submit the application form at the district office of the Secondary Education Department.
• After verification, the incentive amount will be directly credited to the beneficiary's bank account through the DBT mode.
