Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• Unemployment rate in India is so high, and Maharashtra is no exception.
• Being a biggest commercial and industrial centres, still educated people are unable to secure a good job for them.
• Seeking this, not only the central government but also Maharashtra government is making every possible effort to create new short term employment opportunities for these unemployed youths.
• With these short term employment the unemployed individuals will learn necessary skills which will be helpful to secure employment in the relevant industry.
• For this, the Maharashtra government has come up with a scheme known as "Maharashtra Chief Minister Fellowship Program".
• Since its inception in 2015, the Chief Minister Fellowship Program is playing a major role in the life of young people of Maharashtra.
• However in 2020, MVA government scrapped the programme but after forming the government again Mahayuti revived the scheme in 2023.
• With this scheme, the Maharashtra government is trying to boost the skills of youth by providing them short term employment.
• The main objective behind starting Chief Minister Fellowship Program is to increase the knowledge and nourish the skills of youth by providing them an opportunity to work closely with Maharashtra Government.
• Maharashtra Chief Minister Fellowship Program provides 12 Months fellowship in Government Department to selected youths.
• Fellows will get a position equivalent to Grade - A Officer during the period of fellowship.
• Apart from that the below mentioned perks and benefits will be provided to selected fellows :- Stipend of Rs. 70,000/- per Month.
  
  • Additional monthly assistance of Rs 5,000/- for Travel and Other Expenses.
    
  • Accidental Insurance Cover of 12 Months.
    
  • 8 Days of Casual Leave.
    
  • Special Academic Course Certificate from IIT Nagpur or IIT Mumbai.
    
  • Fellowship Certificate from Government of Maharashtra.
• Once the applicant completed the term of his/ her fellowship, the experience of fellowship will give them an upper hand on other candidates at the time when they are applying for a job in another place.
  
• An Official Identity Card and Official Email ID will also be provided to fellows on a temporary basis.
  
• Previous Full Time Experience of 1 Year is mandatory for applicants.
  
• Full Time Internship, articleship, Apprenticeship in professional course or Full Time Self Employment and Entrepreneurship will also be considered as experience under Chief Minister Fellowship Program.
  
• Applicants should know Marathi Language and should be able to read, write and speak fluently.
  
• Apart from this, the Knowledge of English and Hindi is also required.
  
• Applicants will be selected for fellowship under Maharashtra Chief Minister Fellowship Program through Online Test, Essay Writing and Interview.
  
• Eligible Applicants can apply for the Chief Minister Fellowship Program by filling an Online Application Form.

Scheme Benefits

• The following benefits will be provided to fellows/ selected applicants under Maharashtra Chief Minister Fellowship Program :-
  • Position Equivalent to Grade - A Officer will be Provided.

Syllabus and Structure of Online Test

• Primary Selection of Fellows under Maharashtra Chief Minister Fellowship Program will be based on Online Test.
• The Structure of Online Test of Maharashtra Chief Minister Fellowship Program are as follows :-

• The Syllabus of Maharashtra Chief Minister Fellowship Program are :-

  Quantitative Aptitude.	Data Interpretation. Arithmetic. Algebra. Basic Geometry.

• Total Marks of Online Test Examination is 100.
• Selected Applicant in Online Test will have to write 3 Essays in any of Hindi, English and Marathi Language.
• Applicant shortlisted on the basis of essays will be called for interview.
• Candidates selected after Interview will be called for Fellowship under Maharashtra Chief Minister Fellowship Program.

Eligibility Requirements

• Applicant should be Permanent Resident of Maharashtra.
• Age of Applicant should be between 21 Years to 26 Years.
• Applicant should have minimum 1 Year of Experience.
• Applicant should have Passed Minimum Graduation with 60% Marks.
• Applicant should have Proficiency in Marathi , Hindi and English.
