Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• After defeating the Congress party in the state assembly election, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed a new government in Chhattisgarh.
• In its election manifesto, the BJP had promised to implement various scheme upon ensuring victory, which also includes "Mahtari Vandan Scheme".
• Under this scheme, the newly formed Chhattisgarh Government promises monthly financial assistance to married Women.
• To fulfill their promises, the Government officially launched the Mahtari Vandan Scheme on March 1, 2024.
• The primary objective of the scheme is to provide necessary financial support monthly to cater their daily needs.
• This Assistance will help women to become self reliant and use the amount to fulfill the nutritional requirements or other essential needs.
• This scheme is also known by other names such as "Chhattisgarh Mahtari Vandan Yojana".
• Department of Women and Child Development of Chhattisgarh Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Rs. 1,000/- per month financial assistance will be provided to all eligible women beneficiaries under Chhattisgarh Government's Mahtari Vandan Scheme.
• This means that Women of Chhattisgarh will now get yearly financial assistance of Rs. 12,000/- under Mahtari Vandan Scheme.
• On December 3, 2024, the government successfully transferred the 10th installment of Mahtari Vandan Scheme to its registered beneficiaries.
• Mahtari Vandan Yojana 10th installment status can be checked online at https://mahtarivandan.cgstate.gov.in/.
• Women beneficiary can use this amount to manage their daily expenses and they don't need to depend on someone else for their financial needs.
• Initially this scheme is for the Married Women of Chhattisgarh but now Widow, Destitute and Divorcee Women are also eligible to apply for financial assistance under Mahtari Vandan Scheme.
• The Age Limit set by the Chhattisgarh Government for Women Beneficiary is 21 years.
• If a women beneficiary's age is below 21 years then she is not eligible to apply for financial assistance under Mahtari Vandan Scheme.
• Authority already started the application process for the Mahtari Vandan Scheme.
• The Official Website is also launched by the Government to receive Online Application from women beneficiaries.
• Women Beneficiaries can visit the Official Website of Mahtari Vandan Scheme and can apply through Online Application Form.
• Application form for Mahtari Vandan Scheme can also be submitted through Offline Application Form.
• Offline Application Form of Mahtari Vandan Scheme is available at any Anganwadi Centre, Panchayat Office or Ward Office.

Scheme Benefits

• Chhattisgarh Government will provide the following benefits to all Eligible Women Beneficiaries of Chhattisgarh under Mahtari Vandan Scheme : -
  • Monthly Financial Assistance will be Provided to all Eligible Women Beneficiaries.
  • Financial Assistance of Rs. 12,000/- per Year will be provided to all Women Beneficiary.
  • Amount of Rs. 1,000/- per Month will be transferred in the bank account.

Eligibility Requirements

• Women Beneficiaries who fulfilled the below mentioned eligibility conditions are eligible to avail the benefit of Rs. 1,000/- per month financial assistance under Mahtari Vandan Scheme of Government of Chhattisgarh :-
  • Beneficiary Women should be a Permanent Resident of Chhattisgarh.
  • Beneficiary Women should be Married, Divorcee, Widow or Destitute.
  • The Age of Women Beneficiary should be above 21 Years.
  • Women Family shouldn't have a Income Tax Payee Family Member.

Ineligibility Requirements

• If any women beneficiary falls within the ambit of any of the below mentioned category then she is not eligible to apply for Mahtari Vandan Scheme :-

• Eligible Women Beneficiaries can apply for monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,000/- under Mahtari Vandan Scheme of Chhattisgarh Government through 2 ways : -

  • Through Mahtari Vandan Scheme Offline Application Form.

Through Online Application Form

• Government of Chhattisgarh released the Official Website of Mahtari Vandan Scheme.
• Online Application Form of Mahtari Vandan Scheme is available on the Official Website.
• Visit the Mahtari Vandan Scheme Official Website in order to apply for the benefit of financial assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per month.
• Click on Beneficiary Login.
• Fill the Mobile Number and Captcha in the Login Form of Mahtari Vandan Scheme.
• Mahtari Vandan Scheme Portal will verify the Mobile Number of Women Beneficiary through OTP.
• Mahtari Vandan Scheme Online Application Form will open after the OTP verification.
• Fill the below mentioned mandatory information in Mahtari Vandan Online Application Form :-

• Preview the Online Application Form thoroughly and Click on Submit Button to Submit it.
• Concerned Officials of the Women and Child Development Department will verify the received Application Form.
• Selected Women List of Mahtari Vandan Scheme will be published on the Official Website.
• Women Beneficiaries whose name is in the selected beneficiary list will receive per month financial assistance of Rs. 1,000/- in their bank account as promised by Chhattisgarh Government under Mahtari Vandan Scheme.
• Application and Payment Status of Mahtari Vandan Scheme will be checked on the Official Website.

Through Offline Application Form

• Women Beneficiary can also apply for Chhattisgarh Mahtari Vandan Scheme through Offline Application Form.
• Offline Application Form of Mahtari Vandan Scheme will be available and collected free of cost at any of the below mentioned offices :-

  • Gram Panchayat Office.
  • Ward Office.

• The Department of Women and Child Development Department will then further scrutinize the Mahtari Vandan Scheme Application Form.
• List of Beneficiaries will be prepared and then uploaded on the Mahtari Vandan Yojana Website.
• Rs. 1,000/- per month financial assistance under Mahtari Vandan Scheme will be transferred in the bank account of beneficiaries.
