• Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai has announced a scheme called the "Mukhyamantri Ann Kosh Yojana".

• It has been noticed that Pregnant women in these communities often work throughout their pregnancies, which causes various nutritional related issues.
• Lacking nutrition value during pregnancy causes the highest infant and maternal mortality rate in these communities.
• To address this issue and reduce the mortality rate among these community, the state government has started the "CM Ann Kosh Yojana".
• This scheme will help to provide enough nutritional support not only for the pregnant women's but also to lactating mothers.
• With this scheme, the government aims to fulfill the nutritional value required to pregnant and lactating mothers.
• Initially, the state government started this scheme as a pilot project in Surguja District, targeting beneficiaries of Pahari Korwa Community.
• Women of other communities and women of Pahari Korwa communities residing in other districts are not eligible.

Eligibility Requirements

• Beneficiaries must meet the following eligibility criteria to be eligible for Mukhyamantri Ann Kosh Yojana : -
  • Beneficiaries must be domiciled residents of Chhattisgarh.
  • Benefits will be provided to women.
  • Women must be pregnant or lactating mothers.
